Do you want you own copy of the World of Color Expo Class Catalog, you want the most current copy and you do not want to wait for me to send you a copy? Well, you can now go to our WOCE website to get your copies.

If you go to the link below, on the page that displays, in the first paragraph the blue hotlink titled "Link" allows you to view the catalog in a booklet format and the other hotlink titled "Here" provides you the capability to download and save your own copy of the catalog. You can also click on any of the individual green hotlinks for information about individual classes in larger format for easy reading.

World Of Color Expo Teaser!

Again we are back with another World of Color Expo teaser. These beautiful pieces pictured here have been selected and will be taught at WOCE by Robert Warren. Robert is an outstanding artist and his paintings are truly outstanding as you can see from the pictures. These will definitely be outstanding and fun classes.

HILTON WASHINGTON DULLES - HOME OF WORLD OF COLOR EXPO 2014

Okay, here is the latest. Mark and I have just returned from the Hilton Washington Dulles where we toured the facility and signed the contracts for World of Color Expo 2014. The hotel is outstandingly beautiful and very trendy so I cannot image anyone not liking the facility. So, we are now on the calendar with Hilton and have booked almost the complete hotel. In fact, we have all of the meeting rooms and ballrooms that they have at the hotel which is a lot. It is going to be a great Expo.

Since yesterday I have been bombarded with emails wanting to reserve hotel rooms which I had to find out today at my meeting how that will occur. Well hotels do not let you book this far out from an event. Hotel rooms will be available to reserve beginning in November 2013. That is a whole year out from the World of Color Expo 2014. We will let everyone know when they can book the rooms. Also, we will be provided our own website link that we will publish so those attending can go to that link and reserve their room taking advantage of the special Expo room rates.

We have also negotiated the ability to purchase when registration opens for the Expo a daily box lunch. It is very nice lunch which will allow individuals to continue painting and not have to worry about finding some place or something to eat. There will be more on this soon.

I thought I would share a few more pictures of the venue for the World of Color Expo 2014. It is the beautiful Hilton Washington Dulles. This is no slug hotel as there is beauty and trendiness around every corner. With free shuttle service to and from Washington Airport, a free shuttle to the Air and Space Museum (just miles away), free workout facility use, free indoor and outdoor pool use, free lobby technology center use with mac, pc and printers, shopping just miles aw...ay (Reston Town Center and Tysons Corner), and of course Washington DC. Below is a little write up on some of the things to do. You can make this a vacation spot for you and your family. You can paint, chat, mingle, relax, take in the sights and just have an absolutely GREAT time.

This will be the EVENT to attend in 2014! It will be a celebration of Art. So, mark your calendars as hotel reservations begin in November 2013. With an outstanding room rate of $129.00, they will fill up fast.

What to do............................

The Hilton Washington Dulles Airport hotel is set in an excellent central location close to many popular tourist attractions. Discover the largest collection of aviation and space artifacts in the world at The National Air & Space Museum's new Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, less than two miles from the hotel. Shop till you drop at the Reston Town Center, packed with a host of unique stores, contemporary cafes, restaurants and a movie theatre. Explore the nation’s capital, Washington DC, only 30 minutes from the hotel. Take in the culture and sights such as the White House and Washington Memorials as well as an array of shops, restaurants and nightlife.

New John Dunn Originals Added To My Collection

We have made several trips to John Dunn's home to pick up original signed artwork for our collection and to take with us to the Conferences we will be attending this year.  I thought I would share some of the pictures of the pieces that we have recently added to our collection.  These are some stricking pieces.

Get ready for our 2013 Open House - March 23, 2013 is the date. The Open House will be to launch all of our new products lines that we have added to our studio including DecoArt Americana, DecoArt Traditions, JoSonja Acrylics, Weber Permalba Oil Paints, Weber Mission Watercolors, Maureen McNaughton Products, Michele Walton Patterns, Scharff Quality Brushes, new surfaces, new supplies and new books by Lois Mueller, Dorothy Dent, Arlene Linton and Nancy Dale Kinney.  Many of these products are new to our studio. We would like to invite everyone to come on out to our studio and see all the changes.
Our doors will open at 9 am Saturday, March 23rd. We will have a FREE class for those attending. The class will begin at 10 am with special guest artist Sandy Scales. All attendees planning to paint during the class should bring all of their normal painting supplies including brushes, paper towels, brush basins, etc. (Note:  Paints and prepped surfaces will be furnish for the class).

Since we will be celebrating/launching all of our new products from the past year, we will have door prizes, discounts on certain products, food, drink, painting and fun.
